On the 28th of March, during our Her Immigrant Tales virtual storytelling circle, something simple yet profound happened.
After a number of immigrant women shared their stories with courage and honesty, one woman said:
“I feel heard.”
That stayed with me.
Because in that moment, I realized that this is the work.
Not just storytelling.
Not just community.
But creating spaces where women who have carried so much, across borders and expectations, finally feel seen, acknowledged, and understood.
In a world that often asks immigrant women to shrink, adapt, and “be grateful,” “being heard” is powerful. It is healing. It is resistance.
And it’s happening.
We’re building something real. Something needed.
If you’ve ever felt unseen in your journey… this space is for you.
